Pilgrim's Ladies Guild & LWML
While Pilgrim's Ladies Guild and LWML are two separate entities, they meet together at Pilgrim on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, September - June, at noon in the New Fellowship Hall. Every woman in the LCMS is eligible to become a member of the LWML, while only members of Pilgrim are eligible to become a member of Pilgrim's Ladies Guild.
The Pilgrim's Ladies Guild is committed to taking care of the needs of Pilgrim. One of their many contributions is the leadership they provide for the Funeral Committees. Additionally, the Ladies Guild has taken on the care and keeping of the Church Kitchen and has raised money to facilitate the purchase new cooking equipment, blinds for the New Fellowship Hall, and the replacement of carpeting. The most cherished aspect of the Ladies Guild is the opportunity it provides for supportive friendship and fellowship amongst the women of Pilgrim.
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod with chapters throughout the United States. For over 77 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. The LWML is most well-known for their "Mites for Missions," which have provided over $100 million to mission work around the world. In addition to supporting the national LWML global mission projects, Pilgrim's chapter also supports the missionary work done by Rev. Micah Wildauer in Togo, West Africa.
